Its A.....

I know it has been a little while since I posted, but life around here as been a bit crazy and hectic! This week promises to be even crazier. This week we have all our normal busy life activities, Dance, Gymnastics, T-ball, AWANA and Homeschooling. On top of that, I am very busy with school work my self, 2 chapters of Math, a quiz and midterm, and an essay to write in english this week, AND we have our homestudy on Thursday. Our social worker is coming out on Thursday afternoon to chat with us about our plans and to get to know our family so that we can be approved to adopt. Normally the Homestudy is complete before being matched with a birth family, but God had other plans for us, and we are just along for the ride. Please keep our family in prayer this week as life carries on as normal and as we prepair for this important visit from our social worker.

Ok, now, that I teased you with the title and made you read all the way thru, We found out friday that 1. The birth father has agreed to sign relinquishment when ever that is allowed by law in florida and 2. we are having a......

The Journey Begins

Adoption is a rollercoaster ride. It's full of emotion on all ends, its full of what ifs, and suprizes. We've been through it before, we're ready... We're strapped in for the ride. Will you ride with us?

This journey we are on has started out fast paced, and promises to be an adventure. A mear 17 days ago Matthew and I decided we were ready to persue adoption for our second child. 7 Days ago we submitted our profile to our facilitator and asked to be shown to 3 potential birth mothers. 5 days ago we found out we were MATCHED! We are expecting a baby... August 21st is when he or she is expected to arrive.

WOW... God is so good, and we can't thank him enough for all he has done for us. 5 months from now our son or daughter will be here, in our arms. WOW.

The ride is just begining. We have an emense amout of things to get done before then. We have backround checks that need to be sent out and received back, our home study needs to be completed and sent off, plenty of things around here need to be done and we need to fundraise. I created a ChipIn event incase anyone wants to donate money toward the expenses we are facing in the next several months, just look on the right side of this page and you will see a link to it.
